Job Description| Marine Operation Specialist:
Role and responsibilities- Planning and Coordination: Planning, coordination, and supervising the movement of marine vessels, ensuring that all operations align with project schedules and requirements.
- Vessel and Equipment Management: Vetting and overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and operational readiness of marine vessels and equipment, ensuring they are seaworthy and well-maintained.
- Emergency Response: Preparing coordination plan, interface plan, inspection plan, marine traffic management plan, terminal operation procedure, emergency response plans and procedures whatsoever any documents related with the marine operation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Working closely with various stakeholders, including vessel captains, crew, port authorities, and regulatory bodies to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keeping detailed records of marine operations, including log entries, reports, and documentation of activities.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 10 years of post-qualification marine operation experience.
- Technical Skills: knowledge of marine operations, including navigation, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of international maritime laws and regulations to ensure compliance during operations.
- English language skills: Fluent Communication, proficiency in both spoken and written for effective communication with international teams and stakeholders.
- Other ability: Understanding and creating technical reports, procedures, and regulatory documents in English.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, result driven and have a good sense of team working skills.
- Good attitude and possess the willingness to learn on the job.
- Adaptable to fast paced work environment, able to work under pressure, able to finish assigned work on time.
- Good communicative skill, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork.
- Fluency in English is required to communicate with their diverse team and stakeholders effectively
