[ref. w02709417] Bulk & Marine Operations Supervisor - Jurong East
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Supervise teams of 22 FTEs (Day/Shift Lead Operators and Shift Operators) on the day-to-day activities of terminal operations, marine vessel loading/receipt, pipeline receipt, and distribution/transportation related operation activities.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders on delivering effective vessel loading/receipt operations including pipeline receipt and fuel oil blending to minimize demurrage charges.
- Steward the compliance of the Operational Excellence (OE), Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) standards and terminal processes to enhance process and personal safety performance in marine operation team.
- Coordinate with Product Supply and Trading (PSAT) team to manage vessels and cargo scheduling, to achieve effective vessel loading/receipt operations including pipeline receipt and fuel oil blending to minimize demurrage charges.
- Plan and work with Value Chain Optimization (VCO) team for white oil products inventory and replenishment.
- Oversee terminal vessel berthing/unberthing activities, marine product receiving/loading, pipeline receiving, fuel oil blending, and manage contractors (mooring crews) safety performance to ensure compliance with Chevron standards.
- Facilitate maintenance and project work execution to maintain the operational effectiveness of the assets. Review and prioritize maintenance work orders, provide maintenance windows, and prepare the equipment safely to enable maintenance or repair activities.
- Lead in strengthening Process Safety knowledge and drive strong compliance in Management of Change (MOC), Loss of Containment (LOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Safety Case.
- Develop and manage OPEX and CAPEX budget and to monitor financial performance and cost control as per business plan
- Drive Lean Sigma initiatives and digitalization efforts to deliver competitive performance against industry benchmarks.
- Responsible in people development and coaching program to enable a winning mindset.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Marine or Engineering
- At least 5-8 years relevant experience in the marine or terminal industry (refinery or chemical industry with jetty operations experience will be considered)
- At least 1 year leadership experience leading a team.
- Understanding of marine terminal operations, tank farms, and tank truck processes and operational aspects.
- Firm grasp on operating fundamentals and safety concerns in marine terminal operation.
- Strong leadership behavior and supervisory skills. High expectation on integrity, adherence to Chevron Way, and tenets of operations. High level of accountability for leaders.
