Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end operations of water treatment projects, including procurement, technical execution, commissioning, and handover.
Manage all aspects of project execution, including design review, material procurement, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Lead bidding and tendering processes, including preparing, submitting, and negotiating competitive proposals.
Utilize SAP for project planning, procurement, budgeting, and reporting to ensure accurate tracking and management.
Perform or supervise structural calculations and mechanical design verification for project components, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
Coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and site staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Provide post-project support to end users, ensuring smooth operation, addressing technical issues, and maintaining client satisfaction.
Develop and implement operational strategies, workflows, and processes to optimize resources and improve efficiency.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risks; implement corrective actions as required.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and long-term partnerships.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in operations management for water treatment projects.
Strong experience in water treatment systems, pumps, and rotating equipment.
Hands-on experience in technical handling, commissioning, and maintenance of water treatment projects.
Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and project budgeting using SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
Expertise in bidding and tendering processes, including contract negotiation and client coordination.
Knowledge of structural calculations and mechanical design for water treatment and associated systems.
Ability to provide post-project end-user support and client relationship management.
Solid knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, CAD/BIM/P&ID documentation.
Excellent leadership, team management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Track record of managing individual water treatment and wastewater projects.
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
Multilingual skills are an advantage.
