Job Summary

iConnexion is seeking a Field Sales Engineer / Senior Field Sales Engineer to support customers across the AsiaPacific region. The role involves interfacing with customers’ and suppliers’ engineering teams, providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support, and driving adoption of electronic components and modules.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in semiconductors, connectors, RF modules, wireless modules, passive components, PCBA, hardware design, or firmware design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electro-mechanical products, including:
  • Connectors, Audio Devices, Wireless & RF Modules, Antennas, Passive Components, Discrete Semiconductors, Supercapacitors, Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • Understand customer technical requirements and propose solution-oriented designs using PCBA-level components.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, supplier presentations, technical workshops, and training for sales teams.
  • Develop and implement demand creation strategies leveraging both iConnexion and supplier resources.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand their product portfolio, competitive technology, and design advantages.
  • Work with customers’ Product Development and Design Engineering teams to integrate components into product specifications.
  • Provide technical support throughout the design cycle, from concept and design specification to prototyping and mass production.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Entry-level candidates with relevant experience are welcome.
  • Preferably 2+ years in sales engineering, technical sales, or electronics/semiconductor industry.
  • Education: Professional Certificate, NiTEC, Diploma, or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes.
  • Experience in semiconductor distribution, electronics R&D, or component supplier environment is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware/firmware design, PCB layout, circuit design, and electronic component selection is a plus.
