Manager, Risk Management

The Risk Manager is responsible for implementing policies and procedure within the organisation’s operational risk management framework. The Manager conducts risk assessments, identifies operating and residual risks and establishes policies and procedures related to various aspects of the organisation’s operations, and ensures business resilience to enable business continuity.

He / she shall review and analyse metrics and data on various risk domains and presents risk appetite framework and reports to executive leadership, board and board committees when required. He / she shall work closely with internal stakeholders to establish risk criteria across various functions, proposes risk controls that support risk mitigation plans and develop risk reporting and monitoring mechanism.

Maintain Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework
  • Develop policies and processes based on ORM framework to integrate operational risk activities within the organisation.
  • Analyse operational risk findings to identify operational risk.
  • Recommend strategies to address operational risk exposures.
  • Propose new operational risk mitigation activities to improve risk mitigation efficiency.
Manage Business Continuity Management (BCM) Framework
  • Determine consequences of business disruptions and / or crisis scenarios and propose relevant business continuity plans.
  • Revise BCM framework based on new and changing regulations.
  • Develop activities to exercise and test business resilience and adequacy of business continuity plans.
Monitor and report risk exposure
  • Oversee the conduct of operational risk assessments to identify operational risks across business units.
  • Conduct periodic reviews on business units’ performance in monitoring and managing key operational risks.
Implement risk controls and risk management activities
  • Review accuracy of operational risk assessment findings and recommend changes.
  • Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of operational risk management activities.
  • Work with Ops Tech department to ensure adequacy of cybersecurity controls to reduce technology risks.
  • Ensure compliance with operational risk frameworks, policies and requirements.
Qualification
  • Degree and / or Diploma in Risk Management or related field .
Other Information
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in the Social Service Sector is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of risk management policies and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports.
