We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to oversee the financial closing process and prepare monthly financial statements for our entities.Key responsibilities include managing cost control analysis in collaboration with IT and Operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and preparing for annual audits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage financial closing process and prepare monthly management accounts for Singapore entities
- Participate in local monthly period review meeting or departmental meeting to address issues
- Perform cost control analysis with IT, Operations and respective HODs and provide guidance / address any issues in reflecting on the business performance and reporting relating to Finance functions
- Oversee GL, FA, AR and AP functions – team guidance where necessary
- Consolidation of the Group’s accounts as part of financial closing process
- Consolidation of the accounts of 3 entities with the potential for more entities subject to expansion
- Prepare quarter, half-year and annual reporting pack to ultimate holding company
- Internal controls and compliance
- Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting processes and reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
- Cultivate good practice of control and finance accounting policies and procedures, to ensure efficient and accurate reporting
- Ensure preparation of all supporting information for the annual audit for Singapore entities and liaise with the group’s audit committee and the external auditors as necessary
- Identifying and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures including SOPs
- Coordinate the annual financial audit process and tax compliance
- Conduct business performance analysis and provide recommendations to stakeholders
- Supporting business strategies by participating in ad-hoc projects/initiatives supporting business strategies, drive cost-savings initiatives, and to provide recommendations to improve efficiencies
- Manage periodic cashflow forecasts, capital injection requirements and bank facilities
- Seek opportunities to improve profitability and/or cash flow
- Ensure optimal working capital across all entities within the Group
- Preparation of Board Resolutions on capital injection requirements. Liaise with Corporate Secretary for ACRA filing for Singapore entities.
- Liaise with bankers on bank guarantees and forex contracts for capital injection.
- Audit and Taxation
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST Form 5 filing with IRAS for Singapore entities
- Liaise with external tax agent and review of annual Corporate Income Tax filing for Singapore entities
- Lead the external financial audit process and the preparation of financial statements
- Review financial statements prepared in XBRL formats and liaise with corporate secretary regarding annual return lodging
- Oversee daily financial operations and business partnering with all business units and external stakeholders, including bankers and other compliance officers.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Role Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent Professional Qualification
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in group consolidation of accounts
- Sound knowledge of IFRS standards
- Experience in external audit and tax reporting required
- Knowledge of ERP system (D365) an added advantage
- Team management experience will be an added advantage
- Food and beverage experience an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivator, proactive and committed
- Able to work independently as well as a team
