Civil Engineering Construction Supervisor

Key Job Scope and Responsibilities:

• Site Management & Supervision: Supervises construction projects from start to finish, including civil, structural, and architectural works. Directs daily operations, manages onsite crews, and coordinates subcontractors.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforces all safety regulations on site (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH). Ensures compliance with building codes and standards.
• Quality Control & Inspection: Inspects materials delivered on-site to ensure they meet specifications. Monitors construction activities to ensure high work efficiency, quality, and workmanship.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develops and manages project schedules, ensuring work activities meet the required completion dates.
• Resource Coordination: Coordinates materials, labor, and equipment to prevent shortages and work stoppages.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintains records of site costs, daily progress reports, timesheets, and invoices.
• Liaison & Communication: Communicates with clients, stakeholders, architects, and engineers to provide project updates and address issues. SkillsFuture +5

Requirements & Skills:

• Education/Experience: A degree or diploma in a related engineering discipline is often required, or extensive experience as a foreman or in technical roles.
• Certification: Safety certifications such as Building Construction Supervisor Safety (BCSS) or Site Construction Work for Workplace Safety and Health (SCWSH) are typically mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Leadership: Strong team management and decision-making
