Assistant Manager, New Business Operations (HNW Insurance)

We are partnering with a reputable high-net-worth (HNW) life insurer to hire an experienced Assistant Manager, New Business Operations to support end-to-end new business processing and policy issuance activities.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong life insurance operations experience, particularly within HNW or complex insurance environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end new business processing including:
  • New application creation
  • Underwriting follow-ups
  • Correspondence preparation
  • Receipt issuance
  • Policy contract issuance
  • Ensure all cases are processed in accordance with company policies, compliance requirements, and service turnaround standards
  • Review offer letters, policy contracts, and special customer communications where required
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, KYC/AML, and due diligence standards
  • Conduct quality reviews to identify operational risks, compliance gaps, and process improvement opportunities
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and operational support to team members
  • Review work quality and support capability development within the team
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Act as deputy to the Team Lead when required
  • Support system enhancement projects, new product launches, UAT testing, and process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in ad-hoc assignments and operational projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Degree holder
  • Minimum 8 years of insurance operations or new business processing experience, preferably within the HNW insurance sector
  • Familiar with life insurance products, policy administration, and underwriting processes
  • Experience with Indexed Universal Life (IUL) products will be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, compliance, and operational controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in operational processing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
