Ambulance Driver cum Patient Services Associate

Job Responsibilities

• Register patients at the Emergency Department
• Collect A&E facility fees and inpatient admission deposits
• Provide financial counselling to patients and relatives
• Handle general and phone enquiries professionally
• Discharge emergency patients
• Sort and organise E-cards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of counters and waiting areas

• Attend to patients’ and visitors’ needs
• Assist with enquiries and provide service recovery when required
• Provide updates to relatives on patient condition (e.g. tests, bed availability)
• Remind clinical staff to update families when necessary
• Look out for patients or relatives who require assistance

• Handle enquiries via department hotline
• Follow proper telephone etiquette
• Book appointments through hospital systems or liaise with specialist clinics
• Ensure follow-up for appointment requests within required timeline

• Attend roll calls and meetings
• Participate in service improvement or quality projects
• Perform other duties assigned by department leaders
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times

• Support transport-related duties as assigned
• Must possess valid Class 3 or Class 4 Driving Licence

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Levels
• Valid Class 3 or 4 Driving Licence
• Basic computer skills (MS Office)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused and service-oriented
• Able to work 3 rotating shifts
• Knowledge of hospital operations is an advantage
