About the Role

As a Senior Application Sales Engineer / Application Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and achieving sales and profitability targets within assigned industry sectors such as:

  • Electronics
  • Biomedical & Healthcare
  • General Manufacturing
  • Building & Infrastructure
  • Other Industrial Markets

You will work closely with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal teams to provide technical solutions that create value and support customers' operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for assigned industry sectors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and customer accounts.
  • Generate and manage sales pipelines to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, system integrators, and industry partners.
  • Promote company products, solutions, and services through customer engagement and marketing activities.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs and challenges.
  • Provide value-added technical solutions and recommendations.
  • Manage customer relationships to drive long-term business partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and sales activities in CRM systems.
  • Gather Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and market insights.
Technical Sales & Solution Consulting
  • Provide technical consultation and application support.
  • Recommend suitable products and solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Sales Operations
  • Prepare monthly sales pipeline reports and quarterly forecasts.
  • Monitor project opportunities and sales progress.
  • Manage quotations, negotiations, and order closures.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and compliance with credit terms.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve sales and operational objectives.
Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify growth opportunities in Industrial Automation, IoT, Industry 4.0, Cybersecurity, and Smart Manufacturing.
  • Recommend strategies to strengthen market position and business growth.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge in industry sustainability trends and customer ESG requirements is an advantage.
  • Graduates with min. 2 years of experience are welcome to apply for Application Sales Engineer positions.
  • Candidates with 5 years or more relevant experience may be considered for Senior Application Sales Engineer positions.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, electrical, or electronic engineering solutions.
  • Understanding of industrial markets and customer applications.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales forecasting processes.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, Industry 4.0, Cybersecurity, and Smart Manufacturing.
