Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer a unique blend of mainstream academic curriculum and life readiness skills. We are currently the largest special education school in Singapore and due to our further expansion, we invite candidates who have proven commitment and competence to join us in the role of IT Support Engineer.
The Information Technology (IT) team provides an enabling, robust and supportive technological environment to empower users guided by principles of accountability, security and privacy. Ultimately, it is the rocket fuel of the organisation, jetting it forward and yet safe to use.

This role value adds through ensuring the organisation possesses a strong and secured network backbone that enhances all IT services needed by the organisation as well as by ensuring a safe and secured IT environment with zero compromises and breeches.Beyond technical execution, the Specialist manages the IT procurement lifecycle, ensuring the school receives maximum value from its technology investments.
What You’re Involved In:
- Infrastructure Management & Procurement
- Manage and maintain school-wide IT infrastructure, systems, and services across all sites.
- Ensure daily readiness of physical and virtual network services.
- Support IT planning, design, implementation, and monitoring for all campuses and partner schools.
- Lead hardware and service support renewals to ensure continuity.
- Evaluate and procure IT hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Support – Services (Offsite & Onsite)
- Administer and support core systems, including:
- User authentication and security (Microsoft Entra ID, SSO)
- Communication platforms (Email, MS Teams, Zoom, web applications)
- Data protection and recovery (SharePoint, backups, disaster recovery)
- School-wide systems (wireless, printers, facilities and inventory systems)
- Specialised applications (Dynamics Business Central and other school systems)
- Collaborate with IT Specialists on system enhancement and project work.
- IT & AV support (with IT Team)
- Provide advanced support for IT and AV needs across events, classrooms, and daily operations
- Support multimedia setup including video recording, production, and live streaming
- Troubleshoot and maintain classroom technologies (e.g. projectors, AV systems, computers)
- Oversee IT helpdesk operations, including hotline and ticketing support
- Partner with IT Support Engineers to maintain end-user devices and software
- Plan and execute routine equipment refresh cycles
- Helpdesk & Management
- Monitor system performance and ensure service reliability and security
- Manage contracts and renewals for IT systems and services
- Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and data confidentiality standards
- Provide regular project updates and proactively resolve issues
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key IT point of contact for staff.
- Communicate relevant IT updates clearly across the organisation.
- Support leadership directives and organisational initiatives.
- Other Responsibilities
- Track and report on project progress and operational performance
- Support continuous improvement of IT processes and service delivery
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by Head of Department
Requirements
Your must-haves- Degree Qualification in Information Technology / related field
- At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management,
- Experience in managing IT services and systems across multiple locations using cloud-managed tools.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess good written, verbal and visual communication skills
- Hands-on, self-motivated
- Able to work independently as well as work in a team setting
- Desire to learn about autism and the passion to serve the autism community
- Foundational knowledge of procurement workflows (sourcing, PR/PO cycles, and vendor management).
