Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Geylang

The COO will play a key strategic and executional role in driving the company’s expansion, profitability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Store Development & Expansion
  • Lead the full process from site selection, market feasibility, leasing, renovation, to store opening.
  • Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify high-potential areas with strong consumer demand.
  • Evaluate foot traffic, demographics, and rental yield to ensure profitable and sustainable store locations.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and contractor coordination to ensure timely store launches.
  1. Market Research & Consumer Insight
  • Possess strong market insight and understanding of local consumer behaviour and dining preferences, especially toward Chinese cuisine.
  • Conduct surveys, competitor benchmarking, and menu feedback studies to align offerings with local tastes.
  • Identify gaps and emerging trends in the F&B market to drive innovation and business growth.
  • Analyse store performance and use data to optimise pricing, marketing, and menu strategy.
  1. Procurement & Supply Chain Management
  • Develop supplier network and negotiate contracts for kitchen equipment, ingredients, and store materials.
  • Ensure timely procurement, quality consistency, and cost efficiency across all stores.
  • Establish SOPs for logistics and inventory management to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
  1. Operations & Team Management
  • Standardise store operations through comprehensive training and performance evaluation systems.
  • Lead and mentor store managers, ensuring consistent service quality and customer experience.
  • Monitor daily operations, enforce compliance with company standards, and resolve operational issues efficiently.
  1. Marketing & Business Development
  • Work closely with marketing teams to plan promotional campaigns, opening events, and seasonal activities.
  • Drive brand awareness and revenue through strategic partnerships, collaborations, and local engagement.
  • Evaluate campaign performance and adjust strategies for improved market impact.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of management experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and keen market judgment in evaluating store potential and consumer demand.
  • Familiar with Singapore’s and regional F&B markets, especially local consumer preferences for Chinese cuisine.
  • Proficient in Mandarin to coordinate with China-based suppliers and local partners.
  • Qualification: Diploma or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline.
