1. Overall in-charge and responsible to oversee and manage all aspects of ship chartering activities (Pre and Post Fixture) to ensure optimum and efficient employment of managed and operated ships.
2. Minimize ships’ idle time through efficient planning and close monitoring of vessel’s positioning, movement and cargo loading or discharging processes.
3. Develop business activities, build and maintain excellent client relationships with ship principals/clients/owners/brokers/agents, etc.
4. Monitor market conditions and rates for the industry and report on major contracts and outcomes of tender awards.
5. Oversee claim and demurrage status
6. Ensure that all turnkey projects are effectively carried out and sufficiently resourced.
7. Provide value add service and ensure smooth operations to enhance customer satisfaction.
8. Develop and implement marketing and chartering strategies to provide an integrated service that meets clients’ requirements and supports organizational growth.
9. Develop, negotiate and ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of all finalized terms of projects, business and charter party with owners or charterers.
10. Ensure proper reporting on assigned ships, periodic voyage performance reviews, port charges and expenditures are presented to senior management, timely and regularly.
11. Ensure conformity of processes and documentation with Company and industry standards.
12. Review and enhance processes to achieve business objectives and operational effectiveness continually.
13. Ensure compliance with the control system/procedures and undertake risk management measures for monitoring risk factors.
14. Carry out other duties assigned by the Senior Management.

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime/Shipping/Logistics or related field
• 5–8 years’ chartering experience (pre & post fixture), with team lead experience
• Proven ability to lead, supervise, and drive performance of a chartering team
• Strong knowledge of chartering, cargo operations, CP terms, and demurrage/claims
• Good understanding of shipping markets and freight trends
• Proven ability in team leadership, client management, and commercial negotiations
• Experience managing multiple vessels/projects with focus on efficiency and profitability
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Familiar with industry and international regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with handling liquid bulk cargo (CPP and Chemicals)
• Proficient in MS Office and chartering systems
