Fuel Laboratory Technician (Oil & Gas) - Kallang - ref. g32418215

Job description

To perform testing of marine fuels, Lubricating oil and other petroleum products as per standard method and inhouse laboratory standards.

Perform QC check and maintaining everyday laboratory datasheets.

Work closely with technical supervisor on the development of laboratory testing, working procedures and on development of inhouse testing.

Preparation for analysis reports and technical documents for customer.

To assist on material/method development and on research projects.

To maintain the quality assurance activities and ensure compliance on standards operating procedures.

To maintain good housekeeping of chemicals, laboratory equipment and glassware.

Liaise and enquiries with suppliers on purchase matter.

Assist in technical audits and on laboratory quality management system as per SAC Singlas and ISO 17025 requirements.

Ensure safety equipment and procedures are maintained and in compliance as per the required standard.

Job Requirements

Minimum diploma in Chemistry, Chemical engineering or its equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in testing laboratory, Oil & Gas industry

Experience in testing of bunker fuel or petroleum products is required

Able to work independently

Able to work with tight deadlines

Analytical handling with good communication skills

Should the need arise, be willing to attend the laboratory after office hours occasionally

Team player with good interpersonal skills
