Financial Accountant
Position overview
The accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the Group Finance Manager in reporting and compliance requirements. The role involves handling the full spectrum of accounting tasks, including month-end closings, reconciliations, tax reporting, and financial analysis.
Job Descriptions：- Responsible for monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, bank
- Reconciliations and schedules.
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports, statutory financial statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Liaise with external auditor during annual statutory audits and other audit.
- Assist with the preparation of tax return and liaise with external tax agent.
- Other ad hoc finance related matters
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications
- Experience in shipping industry would be an advantage
