- Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver high-quality, maintainable software solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Prepare functional specifications and detailed design documentation.
- Analyze client requirements, define design parameters, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately, within budget, and according to project timelines.
- Participate in control system requirement analysis and system design activities.
- Design, create, and update detailed electrical schematic drawings.
- Source and select electrical components, and prepare and issue Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Develop and program PLC and HMI software, including system integration, testing, commissioning, and debugging.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and project schedules are met.
- Perform basic electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and fault rectification.
- Review and improve existing software to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Resolve software and electrical issues promptly to minimize project delays.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support and troubleshooting at customer locations.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Automation, Semiconductor, or Manufacturing industry in roles such as Automation & Control Engineer, PLC Programmer, or Automation Software Engineer.
- Proficient in PLC and HMI programming, particularly with Omron and Mitsubishi PLCs and Pro-face HMIs.
- Hands-on experience in Motion Control, Analog Systems, PID Tuning, and Process Control applications.
- Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherCAT, and Ethernet/IP (EIP).
