Job Title: Sous Chef (Western Cuisine)
Company Overview:
We are a vibrant bistro specializing in Western cuisine, known for our quality ingredients, hearty flavours, and creative dishes. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our growing team and play a key role in our kitchen operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and menu planning
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness
- Monitor inventory and control food costs
- Contribute creative ideas for new dishes and menu improvements
- Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen workflow during service
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Cook in Western cuisine
- Strong passion for cooking and creativity in presentation
- Leadership skills and ability to work well with a team
- Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- Relevant culinary certification or diploma preferred
Working Hours:
- 6-day work week
- Shift-based (lunch and dinner service)
Salary:
- $3,500 – $4,500 per month (depending on experience)
