Senior Die Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the die maintenance team to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant maintenance activities in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Provide expert technical guidance, coaching, and on‑the‑job training to strengthen team competency in die maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Perform and oversee troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of progressive dies to ensure consistent product quality and stable production output.
- Analyse die failures and recurring issues through root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to improve uptime and tool reliability.
- Develop, implement, and continuously optimize preventive maintenance schedules, die overhaul programs, and improvement plans to maximize tool life and performance.
- Establish, maintain, and update comprehensive maintenance documentation, including work instructions, technical standards, and best practices, to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
- Plan and execute annual technical, safety, and regulatory compliance training programs to ensure team capability and adherence to company and statutory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis and structured problem‑solving methods to eliminate recurring maintenance issues and enhance operational reliability.
- Enforce workplace 5S, safety, and environmental standards to promote a disciplined, hazard‑free working environment and full regulatory compliance.
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in high-speed stamping die maintenance, with strong expertise in progressive dies
- Strong technical knowledge of stamping processes, die design, die structure, die troubleshooting, materials and repair methods
- Proven experience leading or supervising a maintenance or tooling team
- Solid problem‑solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with 5S, safety regulations, and quality management systems such as ISO and IATF
- Strong communication, documentation, and training skills
