About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Retail Store Manager to lead our retail operations for HOUZE+, HOUZE, and Table Matters stores. As part of the Matters Brand Ecosystem, you’ll play a key role in bringing our vision — “where everything in your home matters” — to life through exceptional in-store experiences.
This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for design, lifestyle, and customer engagement. You will manage daily store operations, team performance, sales targets, visual merchandising, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Store Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth store functioning and compliance with company SOPs.
- Drive sales performance to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock transfers, and product displays to ensure optimal availability and visual appeal.
- Implement and uphold operational excellence across POS systems, cash handling, and store maintenance.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and coach retail associates to achieve sales and service excellence.
- Manage scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment aligned with the “Matters” brand values.
- Customer Experience
- Deliver a best-in-class customer experience that reflects the brand’s design-led, lifestyle ethos.
- Resolve customer feedback and escalations professionally and promptly.
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships through personalized service and product knowledge.
- Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation
- Ensure that store displays and merchandising adhere to brand standards.
- Collaborate with HQ marketing and VM teams to execute campaigns and product launches.
- Maintain store aesthetics that reflect the brand’s design and functional philosophy.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, footfall, and team performance.
- Recommend strategies to optimize store operations and profitability.
- Minimum 3–5 years of retail management experience (homeware, lifestyle, or fashion preferred).
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing retail teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about home décor, design, and creating memorable customer experiences.
- Proficiency in retail POS systems and basic inventory management software.
- Able to work weekends, public holidays, and retail shifts as required.
