Service Sales Engineer

Nordan Marine (S) PteLtd is an international maritime service company that service and repairs mechanical and electrical cargo equipment on LPG, LNG and LEG gas carriers worldwide.

With reference to the Managing Director, we are seeking an experienced Service Sales Engineer to support and drive our continued expansion in the APEC region.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop and manage customer relationships within the Marine industry.
• Participate in sales activities and support deal closing with customers.
• Organize and participate in relevant sales/technical meetings with customers.
• Collect and share market intelligence and competitor insights within dedicated territory, in cooperation with our head office in Denmark.
• Support sales activities across the APEC region, with approximately 20-30 days of travel yearly to meet up with customers.
• Create quotations for spare parts.
• Create quotations for service estimate.
• Manage order handling and support the quotation process including identifying required spare parts (drawings, part numbers) and providing sales materials, pricing and delivery timelines for both new and existing projects.
• Coordinate, follow-up and close service requests.

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine etc.)
• Relevant industry experience - Experience in marine spare parts sales is an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of marine equipment and systems.
• Technical competence and problem-solving ability.
• Negotiation and deal-closing skills.
• Strong presentation skills, goal-oriented with an understanding of service and customer focus, and with the ability to handle several tasks systematically without losing track.
• Customer-oriented with a service-minded attitude.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication (both technical and non-technical).
• Knowledge of spare parts and service process.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
• Positive, reliable and possesses a good sense of humor.
• Proficient in documentation and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
