Job Description
As a Business Operations Intern, you will primarily support Pawkit’s desk-based operations, including coordination, tracking, documentation, and follow-ups. This role is suited for someone who enjoys structured work, checklists, and keeping systems running smoothly.
There may be occasional opportunities to assist on-site, but the core of this role is operational execution from the desk.
Key Responsibilities
Desk-Based Operations- Manage and update booking trackers, spreadsheets, and internal dashboards
- Track appointment status, follow-ups, payments, and documentation
- Assist with matching service providers (vets, groomers, nurses) to bookings
- Ensure consent forms, indemnity forms, and records are completed and filed
- Assist with post-consult follow-ups with pet owners
- Help coordinate medication dispatch and logistics
- Support customer service responses and operational clarifications
- Help document, update, and improve SOPs
- Identify gaps or errors in workflows and flag them early
- Maintain accurate operational records
- If you have a driving licence, there may be occasional opportunities to assist on housecalls with vets, nurses, or groomers
- Someone who is comfortable with detail-oriented work
- Enjoys organising information, tracking tasks, and following processes
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
- Tech-savvy (Google Sheets, WhatsApp, basic tools)
- Cares about pets and service quality
This role is not suitable for someone looking for frequent on-ground or hands-on animal work.
