The Quantity Surveyor Assistant reports to the Quantity Surveyor and assists in all cost and contractual reports on Main contract as well as Sub-contracts connected to the project.
A summary of the scope of works for this position is, and not limited to, as follows:
- Preparation of Monthly Consumption reports for Client.
- Preparation of Manpower Report for BCA.
- Receiving and sorting out of Delivery orders from the site storeman on site items.
- Assisting QS to do cost coding by preparing relevant information.
- Collating and compiling cost allocation sheets for approval and reporting.
- Ad-hoc duties such as filing and liaison with subcontractors.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities on buildings projects worth at least $50 million.
- Good analytical skills
- Knowledge of materials and works for site usage
- Establish a good relationship with subcontractors and internal team to ensure that the project cost data are collected in an effective manner.
