Senior legal counsel - lng

Our client is a prominent market leader in the energy sector with a global presence and a broad range of assets.

• Provide expert legal advice to senior management and internal stakeholders on complex commercial matters and regulatory considerations in line with corporate strategies and growth priorities.
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of diverse high-value commercial agreements and infrastructure contracts.
• Manage legal risks and provide recommendations for resolving disputes or issues arising within existing commercial relationships.
• Ensure compliance to internal frameworks and proactively monitor regulatory developments to ensure business practices remain compliant with evolving industry standards.

• Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE, with experience in LNG or other gas assets.
• Experience in driving project development or project finance transactions and strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to the energy sector.
• Business-centric, solutions-driven and meticulous with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven track record in influencing senior management and navigating complex engineering, development and finance considerations.
