Fiber Field Technician
About the role
UP Communications Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Fiber Field Technician to join our growing team. This full-time role is based in the Eastern part of Singapore, and will involve hands-on work installing and maintaining fiber optic networks to ensure reliable internet connectivity for Residential and Commercial customers.
What you'll be doing- Perform installations of ONT/ONR/Router/Wireless Mesh and related CPE equipment
- Liaise with Residential and Corporate customers to provision fiber services and provide excellent customer service
- Troubleshoot and Maintenance tickets on existing fiber optic networks
- Maintain detailed records of all work completed and inventory records
- Stay up-to-date with the latest fiber optic technologies and installation best practices
- Proven experience as a Fiber Field Technician or similar role in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering industry
- Experience Candidate in the Telecommunication Industry.
- Technical knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure and installation procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve network issues
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and team members
- Ability to work safely and follow all relevant health and safety guidelines
- Willingness to learn and keep up with evolving fiber optic technologies
- Experience in Telecom Transmission Technology (MSAN, SDH, Battery Charger, GPON)
- Candidate must be able to speak and write in English.
- Candidate must possess own motorcycle/vehicle
