Field Technician (Aerospace)

We are currently looking for a Field Technician to perform maintenance and repair activities on Safran Helicopter Engines equipment, ensuring continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and accurate technical documentation.
Role Overview
The Field Technician performs maintenance and repair activities on Safran Helicopter Engines equipment in accordance with approved maintenance data, applicable airworthiness regulations (including EASA and CAAS where applicable), and Safran procedures.
Operating either at customer premises or within Safran maintenance facilities, the role supports continued airworthiness through precise technical execution, accurate certification, and compliant documentation, contributing directly to safety, reliability, and operational continuity.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Intervention Preparation- Ensure feasibility of maintenance interventions through consultation of approved maintenance documentation (e.g. AMM, CMM, SBs) and verification of personal authorizations and qualifications
- Identify and prepare required resources, including tooling, calibrated equipment, spare parts, and applicable technical references
- Provide technical input and estimates where required, in accordance with approved procedures
- Perform Level 1, 2, or 3 maintenance and repair tasks on gas turbine engines and associated equipment, either in the field or within approved Safran maintenance facilities
- Ensure maintenance activities are performed in compliance with EASA Part-145 / CAAS Airworthiness Requirements, as applicable
- Ensure completeness of maintenance actions to support continued airworthiness
- Conduct release inspections and analyse non-conformities in accordance with approved procedures
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) / APRS or equivalent, within the scope of granted authorizations and regulatory requirements
- Produce accurate, complete, and timely maintenance records, including intervention reports, test requests, and engine logbook updates, in line with regulatory and Safran requirements
- Update intervention schedules, task tracking tools, and activity checklists to ensure traceability and audit readiness
- Ensure all maintenance documentation supports regulatory compliance and airworthiness records retention
- Ensure tooling and test equipment integrity, including calibration status, configuration control, and modification updates
- Apply, promote, and continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices in accordance with Safran and regulatory standards
- Comply with all applicable safety management system (SMS) and quality requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aeronautical maintenance of complex components (e.g. gas turbine engines, APU, landing gear)
- At least 18 months of practical experience in gas turbine engine maintenance or repair within a regulated maintenance environment
- Experience working within an EASA Part-145 and/or CAAS-approved maintenance organization
- Strong understanding of airworthiness principles and regulatory compliance
- High level of technical rigor, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously in field environments while adhering strictly to approved data and procedures
