Procurement manager
We are seeking a commercially driven and operationally strong Assistant Manager / Manager – Sales & Procurement to lead and oversee the company’s procurement, supply chain coordination, and sales support functions.
This role goes beyond execution — it requires ownership of sourcing strategy, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and order fulfilment excellence. The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between procurement, sales, logistics, and management, ensuring cost efficiency, supply reliability, and high service levels to customers.
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening vendor partnerships, and enhancing internal processes to support the company’s growth and operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Leadership
Lead end-to-end procurement strategy, including supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and cost optimization initiatives
Develop and implement sourcing frameworks to ensure competitive pricing, supply security, and consistent product quality
Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks
Oversee procurement planning aligned with sales forecasts, business priorities, and inventory targets
Supplier & Relationship Management
Build and manage a robust supplier network across local and international markets
Establish supplier performance KPIs and conduct regular evaluations on pricing, quality, reliability, and service levels
Negotiate commercial terms, payment structures, and long-term agreements to enhance business advantage
Resolve escalations related to supply disruptions, quality issues, and delivery delays
Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
Drive inventory management strategy, balancing service levels with working capital efficiency
Implement and oversee inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies, ageing inventory, and obsolescence
Analyze inventory trends, turnover ratios, and demand patterns to optimize replenishment planning
Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient stock handling and availability
Sales Operations & Commercial Support
Oversee sales support processes including quotation management, order processing, and invoicing accuracy
Ensure seamless order fulfilment by coordinating across procurement, logistics, and customer service functions
Support sales team in pricing strategies, margin control, and product availability planning
Manage key customer requirements, ensuring compliance with documentation, labelling, and delivery specifications
Logistics & Shipment Coordination
Oversee logistics planning, including freight sourcing, shipment scheduling, and cost optimization
Manage relationships with freight forwarders and shipping partners to ensure efficient and reliable delivery
Ensure all export and local delivery documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements
Reporting, Governance & Process Improvement
Lead preparation and analysis of procurement and sales reports, including cost performance, supplier metrics, and inventory KPIs
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
Support audit processes and ensure proper documentation and traceability across all transactions
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior executives and operational staff
Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative working environment
Act as a key point of coordination between procurement, sales, finance, and logistics teams
Support management in strategic planning, budgeting, and business expansion initiatives
Required Competencies
Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and supplier management capabilities

Effective stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels
High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in procurement, trading, distribution, or supply chain management
Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks)
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is advantageous
