Job Summary:
The role of a Procurement Manager is responsible to lead and execute the organization’s procurement strategies. The role involves maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing operational procurement to meet product demands.The ideal candidate is an effective problem solver, has strong organizational and project management skills, and can handle multiple local and regional projects. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team and to inspire and motivate team members.
Job Descriptions :
- Lead the department’s recruitment, retention, and performance management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate regulations and internal policies.
- Set procurement targets across teams aligned with business development goals.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and action plans.
- Establish criteria for proposal evaluation and vendor selection.
- Negotiate contract terms with preferred suppliers.
- Prepare the department’s financial budget for management approval.
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance evaluation to staff.
- Oversee and expedite payment processes for ad-hoc vendor issues.
- Conduct audits on trade documentation and contracts to minimise risks.
- Review and enhance workplace technology processes based on feedback.
- Analyse supplier information to ensure alignment with organisational requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future product needs.
- Stay updated on technology trends to improve procurement efficiency.
- Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, specifications, delivery timelines, and product quality.
- Continuously review work processes and implement improvement solutions.
- Support engagement sessions with internal teams and external vendors.
- Manage stock planning and capacity requirements.
Job Requirements :
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role with team leadership responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation and numerical skills.
- Excellent business acumen with proven vendor management capabilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools; understanding of technical aspects of products and services.
