Senior Asst Manager (Media & Publications), Corporate Communications

As the Senior Assistant Manager (Media and Publications), Corporate Communications Department, you will drive and develop communications initiatives with a focus on media management and publications to strengthen the Hospital’s corporate positioning and increase mindshare.
You will be part of the Crisis Management Team.
Responsibilites:
- Develop effective strategies to enhance the Hospital’s positioning through media and publications
- Drive and manage the entire publication process from editorial planning, interviewing, writing, photo-taking to proofreading, production and management of the Hospital’s publications, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop engaging and educational content to expand the reach of the publications. Oversee the updating of mailing list for publications and develop and manage the online version of publications
- Promote, package and adapt publication content across various communications assets such as website and social media, and other platforms for increased mindshare and reach
- Keep abreast of best practices in the media and publishing industry and refresh media and publication processes and procedures as required
- Propose, develop and execute media plans, working with both internal and external stakeholders to convey narratives and key messages
- Actively pitch media stories and foster media relations, including preparing media materials, managing medial interviews and visits and conducting media conferences/briefings.
- Manage media queries and forum page letters as assigned
- Update weekly media and publications calendar
- Prepare daily media coverage reports and update media coverage tracker (rostered basis)
- Ensure updating of media and publication articles for uploading onto website’s newsroom
- Assess effectiveness of publications through surveys and polls
- Timely communications that serve to inform and assure the various stakeholders during an incident or a crisis.
Requirements:
- Degree preferably in Mass Communications, Public Relations or Journalism
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Experience in the healthcare industry will be advantageous
- An engaging storyteller with excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and a nose for news
- Effectively bilingual
- Excellent knowledge of the media and publication process, media channels and integrated communications. Knowledge of digital platforms is a bonus.
- Highly driven, analytical, resourceful and meticulous
- Able to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to meet tight timelines; but also a team player with a positive attitude
