RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTING DUTIES- Prepare and handle month end accounting - monthly journals, schedules, and bank reconciliation
- Assist to extract information for GST submission based on knowledge for GST and submit quarterly GST filing to IRAS
- Accurately recording all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll into XERO accounting software
- Generate accurate and timely financial statements like balance sheets, income statements and cashflow statements via XERO accounting software
- Assist to check documents submitted are compliance with internal control procedures and processes are in line with company policy
- Act as the Corporate Secretary for clients
- Responsible for Corporate Secretarial duties for the company and clients, including incorporation of companies with ACRA, KYC and customer due diligence checks via SentroWeb, writing company resolutions, board and members minutes, managing register of shareholders and ACRA filings
- Assist with bank account opening related matters, such as, liaising with Bankers for corporate account opening
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, local tax and government authorities where required
- Manage and ensure compliance of company and clients’ companies with statutory documents such as annual returns, board resolutions, and minutes of meetings with relevant regulatory authorities
- Create and maintain SOP, Anti Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), and Delegation Authority Procedure
- Regulatory compliance and reporting with ACRA, Commission of Charities, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY)
- Submit surveys/statistic reports required by Government agencies
- Other ad hoc duties assigned by the Management
- Minimum Diploma holder, member of ICSA
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience gained as a corporate secretary and/or accountant
- Prior experience in client servicing environment is an advantage
- Good knowledge of corporate secretarial practices and be familiar with Companies Act and regulations of regulatory bodies
- Knowledge of using accounting softwares such as Xero
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
