Assistant Project Manager (BD & Tender Integration) - Tampines

Our client is a Japanese MNC manufacturing company focusing on home appliances. They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to drive project-based business development by identifying and working with main contractors, interior design firms, and construction companies to position their company products in large-scale building projects (e.g., hospitals, hotels, residences).
This is a hybrid role combining project coordination and tender/vendor development, suitable for candidates with prior experience handling proposal-based sales in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) sectors or building system providers (e.g., HVAC, water systems).
【Responsibilities】- Identify and establish relationships with new project partners (interior designers, construction firms, M&E consultants) involved in large-scale building and renovation projects.
- Support and guide vendors in incorporating water heater solutions into their tender proposals.
- Follow up on project leads and build a robust pipeline by tapping into upcoming construction and renovation projects (residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, etc.).
- Coordinate internally the engineering and technical teams to support project customisation and solution presentation.
- Regularly conduct site visits, gather project progress updates, and ensure the project is secured and progressing.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and seek upselling or expansion opportunities.
- Monitor project schedules and vendor timelines to ensure the successful delivery and installation of water heater systems.
- Prepare market intelligence reports and weekly updates for management on project status and tender opportunities.
- Attend coordination and management meetings to ensure alignment with project goals and company targets.

【Requirements & Preferences】
(Must)- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project-based sales or vendor coordination within the construction, M&E, or building services sector
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin speaking stakeholders
- Familiarity with building tender processes, and experience working with interior designers, contractors, or consultants
- Good understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and how to integrate products into them
- Willing to travel locally for site meetings and client visits
- Possess class 3 driving license and car for sales activity
- Prior experience working with water heater systems or similar home-building products
- Familiarity with public/private sector tenders (e.g., HDB, healthcare, hospitality)
- Experience working in or with Japanese companies
