Job Summary:
The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations of the organization. This role ensures that IT systems support business goals efficiently, securely, and reliably. The Director leads the IT department, manages budgets, and collaborates with other departments to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor IT teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology opportunities.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including hardware, software, and networks.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure data protection.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Direct IT-related projects from planning to execution.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of IT systems.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
- Prepare and manage the IT department’s budget.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (master’s preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management or leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development.
Proven experience in strategic planning and project management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud computing, enterprise systems, and digital transformation.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
