About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Investment Director / Associate Director to manage venture capital investments from origination to exit in the lifestyle space, such as travel, entertainment, sports, wellness, beauty, and consumer experiences. The role will spearhead multiple projects at one time employing a range of skill sets, and is ideal for a candidate with a deep understanding of consumer trends and a strong network in the lifestyle ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing & Origination:
- Identify and evaluate high-potential and emerging companies in the lifestyle sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, co-investors, incubators, accelerators, and industry experts.
- Investment Strategy & Execution:
- Lead due diligence, financial modelling, and market analysis.
- Structure and negotiate investment terms and manage deal execution.
- Present investment opportunities to the investment committee.
- Portfolio Management:
- Support portfolio companies with strategic guidance, operational insights, and growth planning.
- Monitor performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis:
- Stay ahead of consumer behaviour shifts, industry innovations, and competitive dynamics.
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to the firm’s investment thesis in lifestyle.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and marketing.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting, with a focus on lifestyle sectors.
- Proven track record of sourcing and executing successful investments.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Deep network within the lifestyle ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Passion for innovation and emerging lifestyle trends.
