Business Development Director (Logistics)

Our Client, a global MNC logistics company based in Germany and they are seeking a passionate and results-driven Business Development Director to drive revenue growth, and expand their market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in logistics or supply chain, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across logistics verticals (freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, etc.).
• Oversee and align all key company functions—including sales, operations, finance, and customer service—to ensure cohesive strategy execution, operational efficiency, and sustained business growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s customer base.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
• Collaborate with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure client expectations are met.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations for clients.
• Collaborate with global counterparts across regions to develop and implement unified growth strategies, share best practices, and drive international business expansion.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 7+ years of business development or sales experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics services, including freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and 3PL.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
