As an EmB Business Compliance Intern, you'll play a critical role in protecting OCBC from financial crime and ensuring our adherence to regulatory standards. You'll gain practical experience in conducting customer due diligence, analyzing risk, and contributing to a robust compliance framework for our corporate clients.

Your ability to work independently and communicate effectively will be crucial in delivering impactful results. What you do Your responsibilities will include: Customer Due Diligence & Screening: Independently perform end-to-end customer due diligence, Know Your Client (KYC), and screening work for a variety of client segments with differing risk profiles.
Risk Assessment & Review: Conduct assessment and triggering event reviews within stipulated timelines, identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Research & Information Gathering: Conduct thorough research using Bank systems, commercial databases, and internet sources to gather information for customer reviews.
Regulatory Understanding & Application: Discuss and apply your understanding of various MAS/AML/CFT guidelines to ensure appropriate controls are in place. Process Improvement & Automation: Participate in process enhancement and automation projects to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication & Collaboration: Contact customers for clarifications and obtain updated information regarding their businesses, fostering clear communication and collaboration. Who you work with The EmB Business Compliance team is dedicated to safeguarding OCBC's financial integrity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
You'll work alongside experienced compliance professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment. Meticulous with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Able to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software. Keen learner with a desire for growth and further development. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
