Network Security Engineer - Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in Cisco network infrastructure, as well as Palo Alto and Fortinet Fortigate firewalls. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network systems to protect our organization’s critical infrastructure and data.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst (IOS), Cisco Nexus (NXOS), and Alcatel Lucent (AOS) switches to maintain a secure and efficient network.
• Implement and manage Palo Alto and Fortinet Fortigate firewalls for enhanced security and access control.
• Administer Alcatel Lucent Wireless Controllers to support a secure wireless network environment.
• Monitor and manage network performance using SolarWinds NPM and NCM tools.
• Utilize ClearPass Policy Manager for network access control and policy enforcement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Proven expertise in:
• Cisco switching (Catalyst IOS, Nexus NXOS)
• Palo Alto and Fortinet Fortigate firewall configuration and management
• Alcatel Lucent Switches and Wireless Controllers
• SolarWinds NPM/NCM for monitoring and config management
• ClearPass Policy Manager
• Strong understanding of network security best practices and protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with additional firewalls (e.g., Check Point, Cisco ASA).
• Knowledge of VPNs, network encryption, and secure tunneling.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS systems and deployment.
• Understanding of network segmentation and zero-trust principles.
