Job Description
The Signature Research Programme in Health Services Research and Population Health (HSRPH) at Duke-NUS Medical School has built a mental health programme to improve mental health in Singapore and in the region by conducting high-quality research, fostering strong partnerships, and translating insights into policy and community impact.
The programme is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or their designate to support our growing portfolio of mental health research.This includes research on the prevalence and burden of mental health conditions, the design and evaluation of mental health interventions, and the assessment of the economic value of interventions and policies.
Job Description:
We are looking to hire a Research Assistant (RA) that will support the following activities:
- Perform desk research and synthesis of findings for literature reviews.
- Assist with preparation and submission of human subject research ethics protocols.
- Assist with preparation and dissemination of research surveys.
- Analyse survey data and synthesize key findings.
- Contribute to manuscript writing based on findings from literature reviews and research surveys.
- Disseminate research findings through various modalities, including but not limited to workshops, articles, blogs, social media posts, etc.
- Assist with budget revisions, timelines, and progress reports for funders.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein, including contributing to administrative and coordination activities
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related discipline(s).
- Strong team player with a demonstrated ability to work flexibly and independently, interact and work with stakeholders and team members across various functions and levels in an organisation.
- Possess strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good communication and presentation skills.
- Show keen interest in mental health. Prior experience as a research coordinator/research assistant or other related positions will be advantageous.
