Job Title: Financial Markets, Corporate Sales Associate

Role Overview
  • The successful candidate will be a key supporting member of the Markets Singapore Corporate Sales team.
  • The role focuses on servicing corporate clients’ needs for Markets solutions across asset classes including FX, Interest Rates, and Commodities, with primary coverage of MNCs and regional corporates.
  • Prior knowledge of Markets products and exposure to the banking environment are required.
  • The role involves supporting clients across the ASEAN region through close coordination with internal stakeholders. Given that Markets regulations and practices vary by country, the role provides exposure to regional market dynamics and cross-border client management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Work closely with the regional Markets Sales team to support and expand the distribution platform for Markets products to corporate clients.
  • Execute the agreed Sales strategy and align activities with the Bank’s Corporate & Investment Banking objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with product specialists and internal partners.
Business
  • Maintain awareness of market developments and the business environment affecting clients and the Bank.
  • Understand the Bank’s credit profile and market positioning to appropriately present capabilities to clients.
  • Assess clients’ credit and cash flow positions to support suitable recommendations while protecting the Bank’s interests.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of Markets products, processes, and solutions.
  • Support client coverage initiatives that optimise regional revenue generation and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Provide timely market intelligence and client feedback to internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies, MAS regulations, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal partners.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and sharing of best practices.

  • Comply with the Bank’s Code of Conduct.
  • Complete all mandatory training, attestations, and information requests in a timely manner.

  • Maintain awareness of the regulatory framework relevant to the role.
  • Escalate any actual or potential breaches of policies or regulations.
  • Engage constructively with regulators when required.

  • Demonstrate high standards of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve risk and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Financial Markets products
  • Proficiency in Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin is advantageous to support regional clients
  • Understanding of Corporate Treasury practices and risk management preferred
  • Experience in corporate sales covering FX / Rates / Commodities preferred
  • Existing relationships with multinational corporates are advantageous
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
