Phlebotomist (Rotating Shift) (ID: 695269)

Our esteemed client is looking for Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venepuncture for blood specimen collection and ensure timely dispatch to the laboratory.
• Update electronic medical records to reflect collected and dispatched blood specimens.
• Conduct blood sugar checks using point-of-care testing (POCT) machines.
• Assist nursing staff with oxygen administration to patients.
• Help patients perform lower limb exercises to promote mobility.
• Manage inventory effectively within the ward.
• Support healthcare personnel in repositioning patients in bed.
• Collaborate in identifying and implementing improvements in Phlebotomy service work processes.
• Orient and guide new Phlebotomy personnel as necessary.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by nursing

Requirement:

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Nursing.
• Phlebotomist certification from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in performing venepuncture.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within an acute medical in-patient ward setting.
