Settlement Officer (Private Banking) - Bukit Merah

This role plays a key part in managing trade settlements, handling client transactions, and supporting operational excellence across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage trade order placement and oversee settlement processes for financial instruments such as ETFs, stocks, bonds, and structured notes
Coordinate with counterparties to resolve settlement issues and ensure timely processing within cutoff times
Handle corporate actions and ensure accurate documentation and execution
Generate regular reports, including depot and nostro reconciliations, to track settlement progress
Support daily operations by ensuring accurate transaction input and compliance with internal policies
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to settlements, ledger postings, and transaction errors
Maintain organized transaction records for audit and retrieval purposes
Participate in system testing (UAT) and contribute to updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assist during audits, risk reviews, and provide coverage during staff absences or peak periods.

Key Requirements:

Prior experience in settlement operations, preferably within private banking
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken) for communication with clients and internal teams
Self-motivated, quick learner with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Positive attitude with a willingness to support team members and adapt to changing priorities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy
