There is an opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist (Contract)to join a progressive financial institution in Singapore. What you'll do:

In the capacity of Senior Data Scientist (Contract), you will:

• Participate comprehensively in the end-to-end data science workflow, encompassing data preparation, model development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring to ensure sustained performance excellence.
• Undertake research and development initiatives to identify and investigate new artificial intelligence and machine learning applications pertinent to organisational objectives.
• Consolidate best practices in data science methodologies and contribute substantively to documentation efforts for reproducibility and effective knowledge transfer within the team.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models employing supervised and unsupervised algorithms tailored for classification, regression, time series analysis, and large-scale data environments.
• Deploy machine learning solutions into production using frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras whilst upholding rigorous standards of code quality and model reliability.
• Monitor deployed models for performance drift or anomalies, ensuring timely updates or retraining as required to maintain accuracy and relevance.
• Apply advanced statistical analysis techniques alongside data mining methods to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications through close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment between analytical outputs and organisational goals.
• Present findings from data analyses or model results in a manner that is accessible to both technical audiences and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Uphold AI ethics by maintaining a focus on model interpretability, fairness, transparency, and responsible use throughout all project phases.

What you bring:

To succeed as a Senior Data Scientist (Contract), you will:

• Possess a minimum of six to eight years’ substantive experience applying comprehensive data science skills across varied industry projects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming together with relevant libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn; familiarity with Anaconda Environment is considered advantageous.
• Exhibit expertise in crafting complex SQL queries for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and analytical tasks.
• Showcase demonstrable experience constructing supervised (classification/regression) and unsupervised models (clustering/dimensionality reduction), including time series forecasting.
• Maintain a proven record of deploying machine learning solutions into production environments using frameworks such as TensorFlow or Keras.
• Display a solid understanding of predictive modelling techniques as well as prescriptive analytics approaches tailored for informed business decision-making.
• Hold a strong foundation in statistics—including hypothesis testing—and possess familiarity with A/B testing frameworks for evaluating model efficacy.
• Have experience working with big data platforms; exposure to NLP techniques or GenAI/Prompt Engineering is regarded favourably though not mandatory.
• Prior involvement in implementing GenAI use cases or prompt engineering would be an added advantage but is not essential for consideration.
• At least two years’ domain experience within fintech or financial services sectors is highly desirable; prior exposure to Agile methodologies is viewed positively.
