RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Network Engineering:

• Create, set up, and manage network infrastructure, such as cloud environments, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Investigate and fix network problems to guarantee optimum dependability and performance.
• As necessary, expand and update the network.
• In order to integrate network solutions with the company's total IT and security infrastructure, work together with external vendors and other departments.

1. Management and Operations of Infrastructure:

• Manage and keep an eye on IT platforms and network security infrastructure, such as servers, routers, firewalls, and other devices, in order to proactively identify and address problems.
• Track and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, finding and fixing problems quickly to guarantee system dependability and uptime.
• Put into practice and uphold security best practices, such as data protection, firewalls, and access controls.
• Project management and monitoring of storage systems, servers, and other IT/security infrastructure installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• To reduce service interruption, plan and carry out infrastructure migrations and upgrades to accommodate company expansion and technology breakthroughs within maintenance windows.
• Keep track of documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure settings.

1. Operations and Procedures in General IT and Security:

• Carry out regular maintenance and updates on workstations, servers, network and security devices, and other IT hardware.
• Control access restrictions, user accounts, and permissions.
• Oversee business continuity plans, disaster recovery plans, and system backups.
• Keep track of documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure settings.
• Assess and suggest new technologies to increase the scalability and efficiency of the infrastructure.
• Offer end users technical support and help.
• To guarantee security and compliance, create and implement IT policies and procedures.
• Take part in on-call rotations and offer technical assistance for issues pertaining to infrastructure.

1. Management of Vendors:

• Oversee connections with outside IT service providers and vendors.
• Consider quality, price, and dependability when evaluating and choosing suppliers.
• Keep an eye on vendor agreements, discussions, and output to make that SLAs are fulfilled.
• Work with suppliers to arrange for the purchase, setup, and upkeep of IT services and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline.
• At least six to eight years of expertise in network engineering, IT administration, and IT infrastructure management.
• Certifications like VMware Certified Professional (VCP), MCSE, RHCE, CCNA, or their equivalents.
• It is also advantageous to have experience maintaining security systems like FortiGate/Palo Alto firewalls, QRadar, SIEM, NCM, and PAM.
• Excellent command of operating systems (such as Windows and Linux), networking protocols, switches (Cisco and Aruba), F5 LTM, and physical server administration (HPE/Hitachi).
• A working understanding of virtualization tools such as Microsoft 365, VMware, Hyper-V, and others.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes
• A strong grasp of network protocols, IT infrastructure, and general IT procedures.
• An understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS) and database administration.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to operate both independently and with others.
• It helps to have previous experience managing outside IT vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and attention to detail abilities.
