Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the HACCP policy at the club, coordinating workflow and maintaining a productive work environment with Chefs and kitchen team.
- Maintain quality assurance policies and procedures with at least minimum compliance to SS590
- Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
- Conduct weekly/monthly central kitchen audits and troubleshoot food safety and quality related problems or complaints
- Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems and interpret and implement quality assurance standards
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
- Investigate member complaints and non-conformance issues related to FBI and necessary follow up actions – (Lab test etc.)
- Collect and compile statistical quality data records
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards which includes Hygiene training for new hires, educate and training Service & kitchen personnel on food and personal hygiene
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Monitor risk management activities
- Responsible for document management systems
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Reports to the Head of Culinary on a daily basis for communication of concerns and opportunities
- In addition to performance of the essential functions, the Food Hygienist may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely dependent on how busy the clubhouse may be, or the particular time of year.
- Lead and maintain the food safety management system in the club
- Provide Quarterly training to F&B team
- To Lead the F&B team to achieve yearly external audit
- Perform process and hygiene inspection/monitoring, including first party audits
- Planning and scheduling shelf-life tests of food products for laboratory analysis
- Maintaining and updating of HACCP documents (Food Safety Management System Manual) Organize and maintain file and records. Provide general administrative support.
- Manage all aspects of the business unit operating budget, including audit fees, licenses, third party vendors.
- Provide technical support and vendor interface in all aspects of Food Hygiene at the club
- Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals on HACCP matters or overall the Quality Assurance program.
- Planning and scheduling long term projects and ensuring timely completion.
- Perform original cataloguing and classification of print, audio-visual and electronic resources
- Keep detailed records of hygiene inspections and compliance audits.
- Stock maintenance, including the weeding out of old resources
- Anticipating community needs and trends to ensure library services are used as much as possible
- Providing advisory and information services to the membership
- Working with other agencies and bodies to develop services and initiatives for the membership
- Implementing hygiene SOPs and practices
Requirement:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics, Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 Year(s) of working experience in QA / QC experience in F&B / Hospitality industry is required.
- Well versed with SFA and other Singapore food related regulations.
- Strong project management skill and the ability to handle multi-tasking.
- Attention to details and initiative.
- Good spoken & written English
- Enjoys reading and has interest in books and movies
- Knowledge of library operations and resourcefulness will be valuable
- Strong interpersonal skills with working experience in the hospitality industry an advantage
- Computer literate, able to operate Word & Excel independently
- Able to work 5 day rotating work week
