We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team-player who is keen to join and grow with our team as Executive, Application Support Engineer.

The Application Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and usability of software applications used within DPH. They provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other IT teams to maintain and enhance application functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve software issues, provide user support through various channels, and offer training to users as needed.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and update software applications by performing regular patches and upgrades
  • Monitor application performance, resolve issues, and optimize configurations for better efficiency and user experience.
  • Maintain user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Communicate user feedback and bugs to vendors, and support application testing and improvements.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues and manage software changes with minimal user disruption.
  • Implement security measures like access controls and encryption, ensuring compliance with IT policies and regulations.
  • Assist in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and coordinate with project managers and teams.
  • Serve as the central contact for project updates and stakeholder communication, maintaining clear and current project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in application support, data management, in a similar capacity
  • Experience in healthcare setting is advantages
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to resolving technical challenges
  • Possess patience, empathy, and responsive to user needs, ensuring a positive support experience
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information effectively

This position is offered on a 6-month contract basis.
