About the role
Heraeus, the technology group headquartered in Hanau, Germany, is a leading international family-owned portfolio company. Heraeus Materials Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations within the production area.
In this full-time role, you will work closely with the Process Manager and Engineering team to optimize manufacturing processes, improve yield and efficiency, and ensure high product quality. You will play a key role in daily process sustaining, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives, while supporting new product and process development activities.The position is based at our Singapore facility located in Pioneer.
What you'll be doing- Be part of the Process Engineering team supporting the production area, including:
- Daily line troubleshooting and sustaining
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure processes remain within control
- Perform RCA, FMEA, and support customer complaint troubleshooting
- Analyze process data to identify improvement opportunities
- Support process optimization and improvement through ECN projects
- Maintain and review process documentation
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste
- Verify and ensure BOM and routing setups are accurate in SAP for new or existing material numbers
- Support customer and certification audits and act as an internal auditor when require
- Ensure smooth transition to mass manufacturability in PDP and CD projects
- Participate and support new process and equipment development projects with NPI teams
- Support procurement initiatives such as second sourcing and end-of-life (EOL) situations
- Lead individual COGS and cost reduction projects
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical & Electronics, or Materials Science)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly advantageous
- Fundamental knowledge of Operational Health & Safety (OHS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Fundamental SAP knowledge, including BOM, routing, and new material number creation, is an advantage
- Skilled in problem analysis using statistical methodologies
- Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and meet project schedules
- Strong problem analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
