Business Development Manager/Senior Business Development Manager - Bukit Merah
We’re looking for driven, capable Business Development Managers or Senior Business Development Managers to join our team in Singapore, selling our world-class B2B exhibitions and large scale events.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for selling exhibition stands and sponsorship packages on your event or events:
- You’ll be researching and prospecting for new business, taking a multi-threaded approach to finding and engaging key decision-makers and influencers to drive business;
- You’ll be setting up online meetings, phone calls and face-to-face meetings to better understand their challenges, uncover their “compelling event” and how our events will make a difference to them, so you can put together a package to help them achieve their goals;
- You’ll be re-engaging winback clients and showcasing why our event is a great investment for them;
- You’ll be account managing your clients, building a lasting relationship with them and ensuring they have the best possible experience with us onsite;
- You’ll be rebooking clients for the following year’s event, helping underwrite the success of future editions.
We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and an attractive, uncapped OTE scheme (that’s not based on unachievable targets!)
So what are we looking for? The right candidate for this roll will be:
- A self-starter with a “can-do” attitude
- Commercially-minded and understand buy-sell dynamics in a given market
- Confident in sales meetings with senior staff from your prospect companies
- Able to listen to your clients, understand their needs, uncover their “compelling event” and match them to our offerings
- An excellent communicator, with great written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and show initiative
- Organised and methodical
- Focused on delivering outstanding results for your clients
- Comfortable working with technology
You should have a minimum of 2 year’s sales experience, ideally in B2B event sales or a related field. Note that salaries offered will be commensurate with experience.
