Job Description

Purpose of the function

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving the budget performance, sales strategizing and working together with the team positively towards attaining organizational objectives.

Organizational Position

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Commercial Manager/General Manager, South East Asia for performance.

1. Day to day quoting and selling to customers
2. Establish rapport and develop commercial relationships with customers
3. Internal quoting and support to regional agents within SE Asia
4. Internal communication with various NewPort offices around the globe
5. Working with various departments and audit teams
6. Ad-hoc task assigned by management
7. Sales targets and market share growth
8. Profitability and Revenue targets
9. Ensuring the adherence to the global sales process

Requirements:

• with 2 to 3 years working experience in a similar capacity
• Diploma / Degree in logistics/Business administration or any others.
• Self driven towards customers acquisition and achieving sales targets.
• Able to work independently, self-motivator and a team player
• Knowledge of international transportation business. Understanding of the requirements for transportation of chemicals (food or industrial grade) would be an advantage
• Posses excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with people in different level/departments.
• Able to travel overseas as and when needed.
