Business Development Manager (power equipment/Indonesia & Philippines)
Job Summary
As the Business Development Manager (Indonesia & Philippines), you will drive strategic sales growth, market share expansion, and brand leadership for a premium portfolio of industrial cutting tools and accessories. Reporting to the Asia Pacific Sales Director based in Singapore, this role requires a hands-on sales leader to manage indirect distribution channels, develop key industrial accounts, and optimize product mixes across the region.
Job Description
Position Overview- Position: Business Development Manager
- Reporting To: Asia Pacific Sales Director (based in Singapore)
- Territory Focus: Indonesia (70%) / Philippines (30%)
- Sales & Market Development: Achieve annual sales, margin, and market share targets by executing territory plans across forestry, plantation, and industrial cutting sectors.
- Distributor & Channel Management: Manage and develop appointed distributors and dealers, conducting regular business reviews on performance, inventory, and forecasts.
- Commercial Execution: Implement pricing, promotions, brand standards, and POS programs across the distribution network.
- Field Support & Training: Deliver product application training and technical demonstrations to distributor sales teams and key customers.
- Key Account Engagement: Build strong relationships with large commercial end-users, contractors, and government bodies to support major tenders and wholesale opportunities.
- Market Intelligence: Gather regional application trends and competitive insights to support new product launches and trade events.
- Operations & Compliance: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM updates while ensuring strict compliance with commercial policies and ethical standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of sales and business development experience in industrial tools, outdoor power equipment, forestry machinery, or related sectors.
- Channel Expertise: Proven track record of managing distributor networks or indirect sales channels in Southeast Asia (experience in Indonesia (prefer) and the Philippines).
- Core Competencies: Technical application-based selling skills, negotiation acumen, and data-driven forecasting capabilities.
- Territory Management: Ability to work independently and travel frequently across a diverse regional territory.
