Our client is a foreign bank with a strong presence in global markets, the bank has an established network across 30 countries in different continents. They have an approved headcount for a Relationship Manager in their Corporate Banking team.

about the job
  • Bringing onboard new client and maintaining existing commercial/ corporate banking relationships offering suitable banking solutions
  • Identifying opportunities, evaluating, selling and cross-selling banking products, promoting businesses for other global offices to meet the business needs of assigned portfolio of corporate clients including loan syndication, working capital loans trade finance, bilateral loans etc
  • Conducting in-depth credit and financial analysis analysis and putting up credit proposals by stipulated deadlines and in accordance to bank credit procedures and policies
  • Seeing through end to end process including to originate, execute, taking charge as a liaison point between and with internal and external stakeholders including legal documentations between clients and the bank’s in-house legal team
  • Liaising with agent banks and other legal team/ in-house legal team on syndicated deals
  • Conducting periodic credit reviews, and regular monitoring and managing of the portfolio in the credit risk aspect and risks arising from the operations
  • Suggesting, supporting and implementing strategic plans for marketing, business development efforts
  • Attending meetings and calls with clients, preparing and conducting presentations
  • Coordinating client transactional, operational and business requests and queries
  • Coordinating with internal departments, stakeholders and head office to follow through on processes
  • Conducting KYC, AML, transactional due-diligence, compliance, audit-related matters and escalating potential risk issues

about the manager/team

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Banking, you’ll be part of a dynamic team with good teamwork and working culture.

skills and experience required
  • Degree in Accountancy, Business Management, Banking & Finance and Economics
  • At least 5 years of credit and/or coverage relationship manager experience in commercial and corporate banking
  • Well-versed in banking products bilateral loans, syndication, working capital loans and trade facilities such as banker’s guarantee, letter of credit, trust receipts etc
  • Strong knowledge in credit analysis
