Deputy Church Office Administrator

This is a Senior Executive role with primary responsibility to manage the administration of the office, as well as providing accounts support for the smooth flow of ministries at MCI. She/he will be the deputy office administrator and works closely with the Office Administrator to manage staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 A.  Administration
  1. Manage admin together with staff
  1. Handlewalk-in / telephone / email / mail enquiries.
  2. Maintainthe Schedule of Booking of rooms.
  3. Prepare materials for Church services, programs, and events.
  4. Prepare materials for Church programs and events.
  5. Purchase office stationery and refreshments for meetings and events.
  6. To accept any additional duties as requestedby the Pastor’s Office or Office Administrator.
  1. Insurance & renewal
  2. Work with IT volunteers and staff on Office365 renewal admin
  3. Work with IT volunteers and staff onCybersecurity insurance
  4. Work with staff to support major church events
 B.  Finance
  1. Countcash and cheques received over the previous week together with the OA.
  2. Bankin cash and cheques every Monday.
  3. Prepare cheques and payment vouchers.
  4. Post receipts and payments into the accounting software.
  5. Prepareand post monthly journal entries.
  6. Preparemonthly bank and other reconciliations.
  7. Print and file full set of monthly financial statements.
  8. Prepare schedules and supporting documents.
  9. Assist in the preparation of schedules for auditors.
  10. Assist with queries from internal & external auditors.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5 years working experience in a similar capacity
  2. Aligned to organizational values and mission
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office
  4. A team player with good interpersonal skills
  5. Teachable, proactive, and versatile
  6. Willing to take on new challenges
  7. Certificate or Diploma in accounting and/or relevant experience.
