Electrical Engineer / Electrical Designer - Senior / 5 days / Up to $7K

POSITION 1 - ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / WASTE TREATMENT PLANT / $5K-$6.5K (NEGO)

LOCATION : TUAS - TRANSPORT PROVIDED

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise electrical works for the Water Reclamation Plant Project
• Review electrical drawings, method statements and material submissions.
• Monitor site installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems including LV power distribution, switchboards, MCCs and control panels.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with approved specifications, PUB requirements and safety regulations.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection records and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical works for infrastructure, water treatment, wastewater treatment or industrial projects.
• Familiar with Singapore electrical codes, PUB requirements and site practices.

POSITION 2 – ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – POWER SYSTEM / GENERATOR / $6K-$7K

LOCATION : AROUND JURONG EAST

Responsibilities:

• Design & produce electrical drawings, BOM and documentation for factory production
• Understands the ISO standards and various regions standards for design considerations
• Works closely with procurement to engage and qualify suppliers and parts
• Works closely with manufacturing team in the electrical installations of the product and ensures smooth flow in the production line
• Have good understanding of generator controller and alternator working concepts
• Works closely with Industrial Solutions and sales to understand the design requirements and provide timely response to tender submission
• Support in testing and validation of design including parameter optimization for controllers, governors, AVR, PLCs, HMI
• Design & Program various controllers, PLCs, HMI if necessary
• Provides on-site and remote troubleshooting support if needed
• Lead in continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and improve work efficiency
• Assists in managing, training, developing and mentoring junior engineers, ensure standard engineering practice among the engineers

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Min 5 years of relevant working experience
• Required to be skilled in SEE Electrical
• Experience in process change management tools and methodologies
• Knowledge in PLC electrical design, controllers, generators, switchgears and transformers

POSITION 3 - ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – SWITCHBOARD / $5K (NEGO)

LOCATION : TUAS – NEAR MRT & TRANSPORT PROVIDED

Responsibilities:

• Plan and design electrical switchboards, consoles and control panels according to customer's requirements and Company standards.
• Responsible for the effective implementation and control of the Design Control functions and quality system of the total Quality Management System.
• Prepare material requisition lists for job requirements.
• Prepare approval drawings, shop drawings, final drawings / documents, short circuit calculations, instruction manuals as required for submission to clients and shopfloor production.
• Co-ordinate with clients and consultants on the technical requirements. Attend technical discussions with clients and consultants when required.
• Plan, allocate and assign jobs to subordinates and accountable for his / her entire team’s assigned project result.
• Lead, guide and supervise subordinates.
• Check and approve design drawings and documents produced by subordinate staff under his/her charge.
• Feedback to Sales & Marketing Department for changes of technical requirements by clients for claims of additional costs and time.
• Check and follow-up on design and shop drawings with production departments.
• Assist and advise Sales & Marketing Department on technical matters; provide technical backup for securing of contracts.
• To continuously institute work improvements for his / her department that will bring cost savings and reduce wastage for the Company.
• Follow the procedures of the Quality Management System for effective implementation and control.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering / others within electrical or marine related studies
• Preferably with at least 4-5 years of relevant working experience in the similar industry
• Experience in electrical design experience in electrical engineering industry is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of switchboards/panels (marine or industrial) design is an added advantage.
